Episode 4: There's No Place Like Home

For a project that has been inspired by the supporters' movements of soccer, you would be surprised that it took me this long into the series to feature an episode on a supporters' group! I wanted to make sure each episode covered a unique fandom or story that may not get as much coverage as you'd think. However, I'm deviating from that a little bit this week to take a story straight from the headlines.

I'm not an avid watcher of the NWSL, but in this episode, I would come to find out the burgeoning community that the NWSL is starting to bring to the sports landscape. Our story this week covers Danielle Russell and the KC Blue Crew, a supporters group that has gone through its' fair share of home stadiums in the last decade. As much as their home evolved, the community they would foster would evolve alongside it as the KC Blue Crew have become one of the prominent SGs in the NWSL.

I hope you enjoy learning as much about this team and their fans' stories as much as I did!
